About Ian

Full Time Regular

A latecomer to medicine, I began medical studies at age 31 after completing my undergraduate studies in my native Washington DC. Prior to that I pursued a career in music. During medical school I discovered an interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology leading me to pursue postgraduate training in this specialty. Most of my career since has been focused on caring for women in underserved communities and teaching the skills of this specialty to clinicians who come after me.
