Sally Wonderly, MD, FACOG, a Bakersfield native, is a Board-Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. Dr. Wonderly graduated with honors from UCLA. After obtaining a competitive slot in the US Air Force, she went on to earn her medical degree at USUHS in Bethesda, Maryland, graduating with honors and inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, Medical Honors Society in 1996. Dr. Wonderly then trained at Wilford Hall Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center, in San Antonio, Texas with the specialty of Ob/Gyn. She became a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2003. Dr. Wonderly has travelled the world with her job and love of medicine. She proudly served the women in the Armed Forces five years in Landstuhl, Germany, the primary overseas hospital supporting operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as several medical missions in Guatemala. Dr. Wonderly has received numerous awards for her outstanding teaching and contributions to Women’s health. She is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a published author in her field. Dr. Wonderly enjoys being a mother to three boys, teaching and academics.
