Family Resource Centers & Case Management Services

Find Your Way to Better Care at Clinica Sierra Vista

Family Resource Centers are neighborhood-based havens that provide outreach, case management, and supportive services for families in need. Located in Ridgecrest and Southeast Bakersfield, they provided much-needed services, listed below.

Indian Well Valley Family Resource Center

The IWV FRC provides case management services for families at risk of child abuse and neglect. These families have received referrals from the Kern County Department of Human Services/CPS, and case management services for families with children aged 0-5 to ensure children are ready to enter kindergarten. The IWV FRC also provides parenting classes (court-ordered and voluntary), nutrition education, child development assessments, referrals to community agencies for basic needs, community outreach, and advocacy.

Southeast Neighborhood Partnership Family Resource Center

The SENP FRC provides case management services for families with infants to children 5 and under to ensure the children are ready to enter kindergarten. The IWV FRC also provides Youth Achievement Program, a gang violence prevention education program in local schools, parenting classes (court-ordered and voluntary), child development assessments, and transportation to local Clinica Sierra Vista community health centers. They can come to our centers for medical, dental, WIC, and other clinical services, referrals to community agencies for basic needs, community outreach, and advocacy.
