About Marilyn

Marilyn Perez grew up in the Central Valley as the daughter of former migrant workers. Returning to her roots after completing the UC Davis PA program, she dedicated herself to serving her community and has remained actively engaged in her work ever since. Currently pursuing a doctoral degree in medical sciences with a focus on public health at AT Still University, she balances her academic pursuits with her passion for music. Having grown up playing the violin in a mariachi group, she still finds joy in playing music whenever time allows. Outside of her professional and academic commitments, she indulges in attending music concerts, cherishing moments watching her children perform, and enjoying leisurely bike rides.
