Clinica Sierra Vista Takes Part in National Health Center Week!

Clinica Sierra Vista is proud to partner with the National Association of Community Health Centers and take part in National Health Center Week from August 8th-14th. National Health Center Week is a time to honor and celebrate the work being done at HCHs and to advocate for policies that end homelessness by providing comprehensive housing and health care as a human right.

We are excited to take part in this year's National Health Center Week! Take a look each day along with what you can expect at Clinica! 

Sunday 8/8 - Public Health in Housing Day: 

🔳Social media awareness about The Protocol for Responding to and Assessing Patients’ Assets, Risks and Experiences

 Monday 8/9 - Healthcare for the Homeless Day: 

🔳 Clinica's Community Resource Center will have a health fair event where we will be providing COVID-19 vaccines, Food distribution, brown bag lunch for Homeless patients, popcorn, raffles, and games.  

Kern- Homeless Outreach, No-cost health clinic with COVID-19 vaccinations, free food, ice cream

Tuesday 8/10 - Agricultural Worker Health Center Day:

🔳 CSV will be sponsoring lunch, drinks, educational information, goodie bags and raffle prices to a Cuadrilla in FRESNO  Clinica Sierra Vista is partnering with UFW Foundation and Radio Campesina in Fresno.

🔳Especial Cuadrilla of Farmworkers in Arvin/Lamont Area, Clinica staff will be providing education information regarding COVID-19 vaccines , Radio Campesina will be providing hot lunch, raffles and more.

Wednesday 8/11 - Patient Appreciation Day:

🔳CSV will recognize patients at each location 

     🔳Tickets to CALM in packages of 2 adults/2children (Kern) and Fresno County Fair singles passes given away to patients in Fresno! 

     🔳Social Media posts with Clinica staff expressing their gratitude for our patients! 

Thursday 8/12 - Stakeholder Appreciation Day:

🔳Recognize community leaders who have supported CHC's and share video messages from reinforcing the need for CHC's

🔳VIP/Legislator tour of Clinica's new Comprehensive Care Center in Bakersfield 

🔳Facebook "live" interview with stakeholders

Friday 8/13 - Health Center Staff Appreciation Day:

🔳Each employee receives a boxed lunch, with surprises through out the day!

🔳Health Center awareness to be shared to social media

Saturday 8/14 - Children's Health Day:

🔳CHDP Days at East Niles, promote and share stories for awareness of childhood health, students who need a physical to attend school.

🔳Highlight partnership between NHCW and Sesame Street Community Foundation

🔳Provide AFS with printed bilingual education materials
